Mr. Bouy Sophorn Was Elected to the Executive Committee of The Asian Global Boxing Federation

PHNOM PENH: Mr. Bouy Sophorn was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Global Boxing Federation for the 2022-2026 term.

 Mr. Bouy Sophorn, Secretary-General of the Global Boxing Federation of Cambodia, representing Cambodia, was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Boxing Confederation at the Extraordinary General Assembly and Election of the New Executive Committee of the Asian Boxing Federation 2022. March 20, 2022, in Amman, Jordan.

Mr. Bouy Sophorn emphasized that the General Assembly was attended by 30-member countries of Asia. At the same time, he also ran as a candidate for the Executive Committee and was elected by the General Assembly as a member of the Executive Committee for the 2022-2026 term. He considered that this is a new history for Cambodian Global Boxing, which consists of the leadership of the Federation to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Boxing Federation for the first time.

The Secretary-General of Global Boxing Cambodia presented three major achievements that he participated in this Extraordinary General Assembly, including 1. Elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Boxing Federation and having full decision-making authority of the Asian Boxing Federation. 2. Received support from the Global Boxing Association of Thailand to cover the cost of airfare, meals, and accommodation for 3 Cambodian national boxing teams and 1 coach to go to training camp and Thailand Open 2022 from March 26 to April 10, 2022, in Phuket, Thailand to strengthen the technical team to compete in the 31st SEA Games in May 2022 in Vietnam. 3. The Asian Global Boxing Federation has donated training equipment to the Global Boxing Federation of Cambodia at the request of the Cambodian side.
